ECOVE emerges to add voices, sensibilities and efforts for a green and equitable economy in Spain, Europe and the world. Members of ECOVE benefit from:
- Contribution to the improvement of legislation towards a sustainable economy, grounded on a strong ecosystem of SMEs and ecopreneurs, both at the national and european level via Ecopreneur.eu, the European Green Business Federation ECOVE belongs to.
- Representation before national and european political bodies of the community of members, as a whole, and their collective interests and needs; participating in working groups and committees from the Spanish and European parliaments.
- Publication in the media of press releases, position papers, reports and articles; expressing the viewpoint of the community of members, as a whole, on current topics of relevance.
- Participation in quality networking activities, all across the country, covering a range of topics and setors, thanks to ECOVE’s regional and sector-specific partners.
Requirements
Members of the Association can be
individuals or legal entities registered under the competent body from any of the territories of the Spanish state; with a clear and unambiguous interest in achieving the
aims of the Association; that work within the realm of the
green economy, facilitating and accelerating the transition towards a low-carbon economy, based on renewable energy sources, and fostering socio-economic equity and the empowerment of communities and people.
Rights & obligations
Members will be granted the following rigths:
Take part in all activities organized by the Association in fulfillment of its aims.
Benefit from all advantages the Association may obtain for its members.
Be summoned to the General Assembly, attend it and exercise their right to speak and vote; being able to confer their representation to this effect to other members.
Participate, according to the Statutes, in the governing bodies of the Association, being able to elect and be eligible for them.
Receive information on the agreements adopted by the bodies of the Association.
Make suggestions to the Board members in order to better fulfill the Association’s aims.
Appear on the member data base provided for in current legislation, and make use of the Association’s emblem, if any.
Possess a copy of the Statutes and Internal Regulations if any, and submit requests and complaints to the governing bodies.
And the following obligations:
Comply with the Statutes and the agreements reached at the General Assembly or Board meetings.
Pay the membership fee, and other contributions that, in accordance with the Statutes, members may be subject to.
Attend General Assemblies (optional) and other events organized.
Perform the duties, if any, inherent to the position they hold.
Membership fee
The annual membership fee is 20 euros.
Those members that belong to the communities of any of our partners will receive discounts on their membership fee.
Payment will be made by direct debit at the end of the sing-up month, and every 12 months thereof, unless a explicit notification of non-renewal is provided at least 2 months in advance.
As a not-for-profit entity, all means of financing serve for the purpose of achieving the aims of the Association. The annual financial statements, along with the impact report, are published and presented to the General Assembly for approval.
